Updated rental Profit and Loss spreadsheet

Details section of property report for Rental property P&L spreadsheet

The spreadsheet is updated as of 12/18/2016!
One of the most popular items on our website is this Rental Profit and Loss spreadsheet. Over last few months we’ve received several questions and more than a few reports of problems and bugs. We also received a couple of requests for changes and we’ve tried to accommodate all that we could.
The updated workbook now supports tracking expenses and income for individual units. There is now also a report that summarizes all units on one page.

Lastly, I removed the password from most of the pages so people can modify the workbook to meet their own needs. Good luck and hope you find it useful!

Hi,,I am excited to use your income and expense spreadsheet. How do I get the individual property report to fill in. I have fill in every other sheet, but the individual report to fill in. Thank you.

Hi Audy! The individual report will fill in automatically when you select the property name from the drop-down. That is cell A3 (first cell, 3rd row down from the top.
In the blank spreadsheet it will say “123 Main St., Anytown”. You should select the name of your property, of course.

Hi, I too am trying to get the individual property report to fill in and to correct an issue with a field auto-popuating and it asks for a password. Can you tell me what the password is? Thanks.

Hello …. I really like using the spreadsheet. Only having one minor issue. The portfolio p&l summary expenses do not match the expense category summary . The category summary is not picking up all expenses shown on the portfolio p&l summary report. Any suggestions?

Russell, this response is quite late for your question. Sorry about that. I did just post an updated version of the spreadsheet that should fix the problem you had.

Hello, I posted a comment, with my phone, few days ago and i do not see it when i look on my laptop. So I will post again, my apologies if this is a duplicate.
I am using the spreadsheet and it is very nice. I get accurate and matching expenses on the Portfolio Summary and Individual Property Report. These two reports match. The Portfolio Expense by Category does not pick up all the expenses on the expense entry or the other two reports ( Portfolio Summary and Ind. Property Reports). Any ideas or suggestions?
